Mitacs Accelerate is a flexible, rolling-entry program that funds collaborative research internships between Canadian academic institutions and partner organizations (for-profit or not-for-profit, including municipalities, hospitals, and Indigenous governments). The program is designed to advance innovation, facilitate knowledge transfer, and provide students and postdoctoral fellows with hands-on research experience addressing real-world challenges. Projects can range from four months to five years and may include international components or virtual/hybrid interactions.
