Description
The Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) Pavement Testing Facility (PTF) is offering a research opportunity through the NRC Research Associateship Programs for postdoctoral and senior researchers. The PTF is a leading laboratory focused on improving the repair and design of American roadways.
Research proposals are sought in the following areas:
- Development of machine learning and artificial intelligence tools for accelerated pavement testing applications.
- Pavement structural analyses using in situ test results to advance innovative pavement designs incorporating local aggregates or quarry byproducts.
- Development of predictive models for pavement temperature and moisture conditions under various loading and ambient environments.
