Description
The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center (MLSC) runs ARC to support collaborative translational research between Massachusetts nonprofit research institutions and life sciences companies. Combining the former Bits to Bytes, Novel Therapeutics Delivery, and Women’s Health Collaboration programs, ARC supports work across the life sciences that addresses scientific, technical, and product-development challenges. Capital investments provide equipment, datasets, software, and research resources needed to generate critical data, validate technologies, and advance therapies, diagnostics, devices, and data-driven solutions.
The program prioritizes clear pathways to commercialization and economic impact in Massachusetts, including overcoming barriers to product development or adoption and establishing shared scientific resources. Academic and industry partners jointly train newly hired postdoctoral scientists, combining workforce development with research that addresses unmet patient needs.
