Tina’s Wish’s Acceleration to Clinic (A2C) Grant combines research funding with expert advisory resources to advance ovarian cancer-specific biomarkers toward clinical use. The program uses the National Cancer Institute’s Early Detection Research Network (EDRN) five-phase biomarker development framework to assess readiness. It supports rigorous, milestone-driven validation projects focused on early detection or interception, including screening tests and multi-analyte or composite signatures using protein, genomic, epigenomic, metabolomic, or imaging-based approaches.
A2C aims to strengthen translational decisions, reduce development risks, and position projects for clinical advancement and external funding. The program supports investigators designing investigator-initiated clinical trials during the grant period, with projects expected to progress toward clinical translation within one year after the grant ends.
