Description
This program funds joint research projects between faculty in the College of Agricultural, Consumer & Environmental Sciences (ACES) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and researchers at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Organization (Embrapa). The initiative aims to foster integrated, cross-national research programs addressing critical issues such as climate-smart agriculture, sustainable energy solutions from agricultural waste, and modeling greenhouse gas emissions in intensified agricultural systems. Each funded project must demonstrate a close collaborative relationship with an Embrapa researcher, forming a unified research effort between both institutions.
