Description
This award provides funding for U.S. and Canadian medical or osteopathic students to undertake short-term (6–10 week) summer research projects in gastroenterology or hepatology, under the mentorship of an American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) member. The program aims to foster early interest and engagement in digestive diseases research by supporting patient-oriented projects with direct clinical applicability. Eligible research may include case series, quality improvement projects, retrospective cohort studies, or meta-analyses. The funding is intended to defray living expenses during the research period, and recipients are encouraged to present their findings at the ACG Annual Scientific Meeting.
