Summary: Supports diverse graduate students globally in computational and data science, emphasizing increased representation from underrepresented groups.
The ACM SIGHPC Computational & Data Science Fellowships aim to increase the diversity of students pursuing graduate degrees in computational and data science worldwide. The fellowships are specifically targeted at women and students from racial or ethnic groups underrepresented in computing in the country where their degree will be earned. The program is open to students at any institution globally, including those in disciplines outside of computer science who bring new perspectives to computational or data science.
Fellowship recipients are evaluated on their potential for excellence, likelihood of degree completion, and their contribution to workplace diversity. Awards are intended to supplement existing institutional support and recipients are formally recognized at the annual SC conference Awards Session.
