The ACORN – Fall 2027 Cycle supports targeted, high-impact research to advance the understanding, prevention, and treatment of canine diseases, funded by the American Kennel Club Canine Health Foundation.

Funding Amounts: Up to $30,000 per project (including max 15% indirect costs); typical project duration 12–24 months.

Key Information: Rising Researcher applicants are not eligible in this cycle.
Description
This opportunity supports smaller-scale research projects that address critical needs in canine health, with the goal of advancing the prevention, treatment, and understanding of canine diseases. The program welcomes proposals across any of the American Kennel Club Canine Health Foundation’s (CHF) 25 research program areas, as long as they clearly align with CHF’s mission to foster scientific discoveries benefitting the health and well-being of all dogs. Projects should demonstrate high impact and relevance to pressing canine health issues.
