Description
The American Kennel Club Canine Health Foundation (CHF) ACORN Grant supports high-impact scientific research that advances the health of all dogs and helps prevent, treat, and cure canine disease. Projects may investigate disease processes, apply fundamental knowledge to develop solutions to canine health problems, explore outcomes-based solutions in clinical settings, or combine these approaches.
Research may address any of CHF’s 25 Research Program Areas. This cycle expresses particular interest in innovative studies related to hemangiosarcoma, lymphoma, and epilepsy. Priority goes to sound science addressing demonstrated needs, fostering critical discoveries, or producing outcomes that improve canine health care. Research need not focus on purebred dogs: breed-specific studies and work benefiting dogs more broadly are considered.
