This award honors individuals or teams who have demonstrated creativity in research, technology development, or analytical methods that provide a scientific foundation for informed environmental decision-making or offer practical technologies to reduce health risks. The goal is to encourage and highlight innovative contributions that advance the field of environmental science and technology. The recipient receives a $5,000 honorarium, a certificate, and up to $2,500 for travel expenses to attend the ACS national meeting, where the award is presented. Recipients are also invited to present their research at an ACS Division of Environmental Chemistry symposium.
