Description

The ACS Catalyst Scholarship is an education initiative of the American Chemical Society supporting undergraduate students pursuing chemistry or chemistry-related fields. It assists students who demonstrate financial need or hardship, helping them continue their education and prepare for careers in the chemical sciences. Graduating high school seniors and students in their first through fourth undergraduate years are eligible, subject to the program’s citizenship, enrollment, and academic requirements.

Rather than funding a research project, the scholarship supports college educational expenses, including tuition, fees, and books. Eligible fields span chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical or science education, environmental chemistry, forensic chemistry and forensic science, materials chemistry and materials, and other chemistry-based sciences. Funding is paid directly to accredited colleges or universities, with the possibility of renewal in future years.
