Summary: Recognizes exemplary efforts to integrate sustainability concepts into chemical education, with awardees presenting their work at an ACS symposium.
This award honors individuals or groups who have made outstanding contributions to the incorporation of sustainability into chemical education. The program aims to highlight innovative approaches for integrating sustainability, United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), green chemistry, and systems thinking into classroom and outreach initiatives. Recipients are expected to present their work at a symposium during a selected conference, supporting the dissemination of best practices and creative educational strategies in the chemistry community. Typically, four to six different projects are recognized each cycle.
