Description
The American Chemical Society (ACS) Chemistry Festival Grant supports community engagement events outside the United States and Puerto Rico that show how chemistry relates to everyday life. Volunteers facilitate interactive activities for non-chemist audiences, helping communicate chemistry’s value and encouraging excellence in education.
Event formats are flexible, provided they include interactive activities and follow ACS safety guidelines. Festivals often accompany National Chemistry Week or Chemists Celebrate Earth Week, but may take place at any time of year. The program is coordinated by the Office of Science Outreach within the ACS Education Division, with applications reviewed by volunteers from ACS committees focused on community activities, international activities, and education.
