Description
The American Chemical Society’s ACS-Hach Professional Development Grant helps high school chemistry teachers pursue learning opportunities that strengthen their professional skills and enhance chemistry teaching and learning. The program connects teachers’ professional growth with improved student achievement, supporting experiences they can incorporate into their classrooms and share with colleagues.
Funding supports conferences, workshops, and new or upcoming courses, along with related travel, educational expenses, books, online instructional resources, and substitute teacher pay. The emphasis is on professional development rather than general classroom purchases: laboratory equipment and classroom materials must relate to the funded experience. Proposals should explain the opportunity, its classroom application, intended student learning outcomes, and how those outcomes will be assessed.
