Description
The American Chemical Society (ACS) and its International Chapters established this program to recognize members’ scientific contributions, professional achievements, and social impact. The program has two distinctions: ACS Laureate honors distinguished chemists in academia or industry for outstanding contributions to chemistry and exceptional international or professional influence; ACS Rising Leader honors outstanding early- and mid-career professionals in chemistry-related fields.
The program began as a mainland China pilot in 2026, with plans to expand to other regions. Recipients receive an ACS certificate and medal, recognition through ACS communication channels, and authorization to use their title in professional communications.
