Regional and Local Section Meeting Accessibility Grant supports ACS meeting organizers in providing accommodations so chemists can participate in regional and local event programming and dialogue.

Description
The American Chemical Society’s Committee on Chemists with Disabilities (CWD) offers this grant to help meeting organizers address accommodation needs at regional and local ACS events. Its purpose is to enable all chemists to participate in event programming and dialogue with their colleagues, consistent with CWD’s mission to make chemistry accessible to all.
Supported accommodations include closed captioning, sign language interpreters, mobility aids, and other tools or services that enable members to participate. Funding focuses on access to meeting activities and conversations, supporting organizers in providing accommodations for their event audiences.
