    Description

The American Chemical Society’s Rising Stars in Green Chemistry Education Award recognizes outstanding early-career scholars who make green chemistry or sustainability a significant focus of teaching in chemistry, chemical engineering, or closely related fields. Administered by the ACS Green Chemistry Institute and sponsored by the ACS Campaign for a Sustainable Future, the program presents two awards annually.

Eligible educational work includes traditional lectures, laboratory classes, and non-traditional instruction supported by convincing evidence of student success. Research laboratory mentoring and apprenticeships are also considered when research outcomes connect directly to fundamental green chemistry principles and student development and training are valued and measurable. The award supports faculty and student participation in the annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference (GC&E), where recipients share their work.
