--- ## Description This grant supports initiatives that build and strengthen student communities within the chemical sciences. Funding is intended to foster unity among group members through outreach events, member engagement activities, career and professional development opportunities, and group growth efforts. The program encourages creative and meaningful activities that align with the core values of the American Chemical Society, enhancing both the professional and social aspects of student communities. --- ## Due Dates - Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. - Proposals are reviewed every two weeks in the order received. --- ## Funding Amount - Maximum award: **Up to $1,000 per application** - Each eligible group may receive funding up to **two times per year** - Funds are sent to the university or chapter bank account; reimbursement is possible if funds do not arrive before the event. --- ## Eligibility This grant is open to: - **Active ACS Student Chapters** - **ACS International Student Chapters** - **ACS Graduate Student Organizations (GSOs)** To be considered active, your group must: - Have at least **six current ACS student members** with a premium package. - For Student Chapters and International Student Chapters: must have chartered, reactivated, or submitted a report within the last three years. - Have a faculty advisor who is an ACS member at the Premium or Standard package level. - Maintain bylaws for your organization. **Note:** Only active groups are eligible. Groups may receive this grant up to two times per year. --- ## Application Process 1. If your group does not have a dedicated email, create one for your student community. 2. [Create a student community account in the ACS application system](https://www.grantinterface.com/Home/Logon?urlkey=acs). 3. Select "Apply" under the Applicant Menu and choose the current ACS Student Communities Engagement Grant cycle. 4. Complete the application, including: - Proposal name, event date/location - Budget and detailed list of expenses - Event description and intended audience - Connection to ACS core values and goals - Safety considerations (RAMP analysis recommended) - Roles of planners and external partners, if any 5. Upload all required materials and submit your application. 6.
