--- ## Description This grant supports initiatives by ACS Student Chapters, International Student Chapters, and Graduate Student Organizations (GSOs) aimed at building and strengthening student chemistry communities. The funding is intended for projects that enhance group unity, foster member engagement, promote outreach, and support career and professional development activities. The goal is to empower student groups to create impactful experiences and further the mission of chemistry within their academic and local communities. --- ## Due Dates - Applications are accepted year-round. - Proposals are reviewed every two weeks in the order received. - There is no fixed deadline. --- ## Funding Amount - Maximum request: **Up to $1,000** per application. - Each group may receive this grant **up to two times per year**. - Funds are disbursed to the university or chapter bank account; faculty advisors oversee appropriate use. --- ## Eligibility Applicants must meet all the following criteria: - Be an **active** ACS Student Chapter, International Student Chapter, or Graduate Student Organization (GSO). - Have **at least six members** with current ACS student memberships (premium package). - Chapters must have been chartered, reactivated, or submitted a chapter report within the last three years. - Faculty advisor must be an ACS member (Standard or Premium package). **Note:** Community Associates cannot be counted toward the membership requirement. --- ## Application Process 1. If your student community does not have a group email, create one. 2. [Create an account in the ACS grant application system](https://www.grantinterface.com/Home/Logon?urlkey=acs) using your community email. 3. Log in and select "Apply" from the Applicant Menu. 4. Choose "2026 ACS Student Communities Engagement Grant." 5. Complete the application, including: - Proposal title - Date and location of the event - Budget and detailed expenses - Description of the event and intended audience - Connection to ACS core values - Planning team members and any external collaborators - Chemical safety considerations and risk management (RAMP analysis encouraged) 6. Save drafts as needed; submit when ready. 7.
