Description
The ACS Student Leadership Award supports undergraduate students who have demonstrated leadership within their ACS student chapters. Sponsored by the Society Committee on Education Undergraduate Student Advisory Board, the award enables selected students to attend the annual ACS Leadership Institute, an invitation-only conference focused on leadership and management development for ACS volunteer leaders.
Awardees can take leadership development courses, learn about ACS resources, and build connections with members of the ACS Board of Directors, Division leaders, International Chemical Sciences Chapter and Local Section leaders, and Younger Chemists Committee awardees. The program provides professional development and travel support rather than research funding. Students who attend also have an opportunity to become a student liaison to the Undergraduate Student Advisory Board and further develop their leadership experience.
