Summary: Supports member organizations’ collaborative projects that contribute to shared community goals, build relationships, and advance equity.
Key Information: Each member organization may submit only one application, choosing either Action or Special Collections.
The Northern New York Library Network’s Action Grants help member organizations strengthen their capacity to contribute to shared local efforts and their broader community’s collective goals. The program supports projects that build relationships and communication among groups, connect activities to a shared vision, and track progress to guide ongoing improvement.
Competitive proposals demonstrate a clear community contribution and connect with wider efforts rather than treating collaboration as a separate activity. The strongest proposals advance equity and are co-created with community partners. Sustainability is central: applicants must demonstrate both the ability and commitment to continue the project beyond the grant period.
