    Description

The ACVS Foundation’s Resident Education Travel Grants fund expenses for surgery residents to attend the ACVS Surgery Summit. Offered in partnership with Developing Veterinary Medicine Careers (DVMC), the program aims to increase residents’ access to continuing education and participation in the veterinary surgery community.

The program also provides opportunities for professional connections and greater inclusion and representation in veterinary surgery. Recipients have described building relationships with diverse professionals, collaborating on efforts to diversify veterinary medicine, and sharing ideas about veterinary education worldwide. Six ACVS surgery residents attended the 2025 Summit in Seattle through the program; the 2026 opportunity supported attendance in Charlotte, North Carolina.
