Funds research and innovation to empower people with disabilities to live independently and be fully included in society across all life stages.

--- ## Description This grant supports research and innovation activities aimed at empowering individuals with long-term disabilities—physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory—to live independently and be included in the community. The initiative emphasizes the development of innovative, human-centered solutions to remove barriers, facilitate community-based support, and promote the transition from institutional to independent living. Projects are expected to address health-related research, autonomy and quality of life for children, youth, and older persons with disabilities, access to habilitation and rehabilitation services, prevention of disabilities across the life course, and strategies for high-quality, person-centered social and healthcare services. Data collection, harmonization, and the active involvement of persons with disabilities and relevant stakeholders in the research process are essential.
