Description
The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) and the American College of Dentists (ACD) offer this scholarship to support a dental educator’s participation in the ADEA Leadership Institute. Established through a commitment from ACD, the award helps a current active ACD Fellow prepare for a leadership position in academic dentistry. Its support is directed toward leadership education and institute participation rather than a separate research project.
The scholarship honors Dr. Jerome Bright Miller’s record of accountable leadership in dentistry and his commitment to expanding educational and leadership opportunities. Applicants must demonstrate recognizable leadership potential, and scholarship support is contingent on selection to attend the institute and institutional support for participation costs beyond the award.
