Description
The DePaola Scholar fellowship supports a dental school faculty member with recognizable leadership potential to participate in the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Leadership Institute. Established through a commitment from Colgate-Palmolive Co., the fellowship provides tuition and fee support to help the recipient prepare for a leadership position in an academic dental institution. The yearlong leadership-development experience offers up to 67 continuing education credits.
The fellowship honors Dominick P. DePaola, D.D.S., Ph.D., whose career spanned dental education, research, patient care and academic administration. He served as dean of three dental schools and as president of both ADEA and the American Association of Dental Research. The award supports leadership development through Institute participation.
