Description
The ADEA Enid A. Neidle Scholar-in-Residence Program gives an oral health educator the opportunity to conduct a year-long research project while participating in leadership development and professional networking through the American Dental Education Association. It honors Enid A. Neidle, ADEA’s former president, whose leadership helped expand opportunities for academic leadership in dental education. Research should address academic dentistry, health professions education or faculty development, contributing insights that inform institutional practices and advance oral health education.
The selected scholar works with senior ADEA staff through in-person and virtual engagements tailored to their academic interests and professional goals. The experience provides exposure to issues including health care delivery, representation, faculty advancement, leadership, workforce trends and global health. It combines research and writing guidance with opportunities to engage ADEA leadership and build professional networks.
