The Bell Leadership Institute Achievers Program, offered through the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) with the support of Dr. Rick Workman and his wife, provides 10 tuition-free positions for promising mid-career dental faculty. The program is designed specifically to advance assistant and associate deans, as well as department chairs, who aspire to future deanships within academic dental institutions. The Achievers Program is a three-day, in-person leadership development event held at The Carolina Inn on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill campus. While tuition is covered, participants are responsible for their own travel, hotel, and some meal expenses.
