--- ## Description The ADEAGies Foundation Grant Program is an annual small grants initiative designed to foster innovation, research, and program development in dental, allied dental, and advanced dental education. The program seeks to improve public oral health by supporting projects that align with the foundation’s mission, such as strengthening higher education systems, faculty development, curriculum innovation, oral health-related research, advancing access for underserved populations, and promoting professional ethics and inclusive pedagogy. Priority is given to projects that expand access, encourage collaboration, and support diversity, affordability, and sustainability within dental education. --- ## Due Dates - **Letter of Intent (LOI) Due:** September 1, 2025 - **Notification of LOI Decision:** November 30, 2025 - **Full Proposal (by invitation only) Due:** February 1, 2026 - **Notification of Proposal Decision:** April 5, 2026 - **Grant Agreement Due:** May 15, 2026 - **Grant Cycle:** September 1, 2026 – August 31, 2027 - **Interim Progress Report:** January 15, 2027 - **No-Cost Extension Request (if needed):** July 20, 2027 - **Final Report:** November 1, 2027 --- ## Funding Amount - Typical award: **$10,000–$50,000** per project. - Funding is for a **one-year period**; a one-time renewal for a second year may be requested with the interim progress report. - Funding is subject to availability and board approval; partial funding may be awarded. --- ## Eligibility - Applicants must be **ADEA members** at: - U.S.-based nonprofit organizations (501(c)(3)), including higher education institutions, dental schools, advanced dental, and allied dental programs. - Canada-based nonprofit charitable organizations. - Only **one application per individual or institution** per grant cycle. - Non-member organizations are not eligible. - Grants are awarded to organizations/institutions, not individuals. - Projects must align with at least one of the Foundation’s focus areas (see below). - Previous awardees with a no-cost extension must wait two years before reapplying. --- ## Application Process ### Step 1: Letter of Intent (LOI) - Complete the [application form (DOC)](https://www.adea.org/docs/default-source/gies-foundation/adeagies-grant-application.docx?sfvrsn=8d948d71_5). - Submit a **one-page cover letter** (single-spaced, 11-point font, 1" margins) including: - PI name, title, contact information - Institution name and address - Project title and brief description - Combine the application form and cover letter into **one PDF document**. - Email to [ADEAGies-Letter_of_Intent@adea.org](mailto:ADEAGies-Letter_of_Intent@adea.org) by September 1, 2025. ### Step 2: Full Proposal (by invitation) - If invited, submit a full proposal (up to 10 pages, including budget and justification). - Include a detailed cover page and budget (use the [budget template](https://www.adea.org/docs/default-source/gies-foundation/adeagies-budget-template-for-grant-funding.xlsx?sfvrsn=d3f132f7_1)). - Email the completed proposal to [ADEAGies-GrantProposals@adea.org](mailto:ADEAGies-GrantProposals@adea.org) by February 1, 2026. ### Review - Proposals are evaluated for alignment with the Foundation’s mission, focus areas, innovation, inclusivity, collaboration, and completeness. - Only requested materials are considered;
