The Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM, formerly AACC) offers SYCL Travel Grants to help members of the Society for Young Clinical Laboratorians participate in its Annual Meeting and Clinical Lab Expo. The program supports meeting attendance rather than a separate research project or recognition for scientific presentations. It addresses financial barriers to participation through travel support and complimentary meeting registration.
Selection gives equal weight to demonstrated financial need and the career impact of attending the meeting. The program welcomes U.S. and international SYCL members, including laboratory scientists and members in training or early-career positions. Travel Grants are distinct from the SYCL Annual Meeting Impact Award, which recognizes scientific and educational contributions to the meeting; applicants may apply for only one of these opportunities.
