Description
The ADOPT Facilitator Support Grant funds professional assistance to prepare an application for a Full Accelerating Development of Practices and Technologies (ADOPT) Grant. Funding comes from Defra’s Farming Innovation Programme, delivered in partnership with Innovate UK. It supports farmers, growers and foresters in England who want to test new ideas or solutions through on-farm trials and experiments, rather than paying for the trials themselves.
The support grant is intended particularly for applicants less familiar with Innovate UK systems. Its goals are to improve application quality, widen access to ADOPT funding and strengthen the farming sector’s ability to engage with innovation funding. The proposed Full ADOPT project must test ideas that are new or not widely used, addressing major on-farm or immediate post-farmgate challenges and benefiting other farmers, growers or foresters in England.
