This fellowship provides substantial support for clinicians seeking to combine dementia research with ongoing clinical practice, with the aim of establishing themselves as independent researchers. Funding covers dedicated research time, project costs, training (including overseas), travel, and patient/public involvement, for projects aligned with the Alzheimer’s Research UK Research Strategy—particularly those focused on treatment, diagnosis, prevention of dementia, and interventional clinical trials. The scheme emphasizes building a new generation of clinician-researchers who can bridge clinical and research expertise to drive progress in dementia research.
