Description
Alzheimer's Research UK's Advanced Clinical Fellowship supports clinicians developing careers that combine dementia research and clinical practice. It provides research-dedicated time, project resources and training, helping applicants move towards independent research programmes while maintaining concurrent clinical work. The scheme supports clinical and translational projects aligned with the charity's Research Strategy, focusing on dementia treatment, diagnosis and prevention.
Particular priority is given to proposals involving interventional clinical trials and samples. Applicants may also use the fellowship to gain clinical trial experience alongside their research. Support can include research salary, project costs, additional staff time, training and collaboration-related travel, as well as participant involvement and open access publication. Applications from clinicians returning after a research career break are welcome.
