    Description

The New Jersey Department of Health’s Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) Training program funds the planning and delivery of ALSO trainings across New Jersey. Administered through Maternal Health Innovations, the program supports a collaborative process with appropriate partners to expand training availability and improve participants’ knowledge of procedures and processes used in obstetric emergencies. Its goal is to reduce contributing factors to maternal mortality and morbidity.

The recipient must evaluate training implementation fidelity and effectiveness and report training uptake and completion in specific regions of the state. The program seeks applicants with experience connecting healthcare quality improvement and training to equitable access, health and healthcare disparities, and care for underserved and vulnerable populations.
