Description
The Advanced Lung Disease and Lung Transplant Fellowship at Mayo Clinic Florida is a one-year, high-intensity program designed to train future leaders in transplant pulmonology. Fellows gain comprehensive experience in all aspects of advanced lung disease and lung transplantation, including pre- and post-transplant care, donor assessment, perioperative management, and exposure to complex multi-organ transplant procedures. The curriculum integrates clinical rotations, didactic training, hands-on procedural experience (including Ex Vivo Lung Perfusion), and protected research time. Graduates are prepared for UNOS primary physician certification and independent practice in lung transplantation.
