Description
This award from the AASLD Foundation encourages the academic career development of promising hepatology trainees by providing travel support and professional growth opportunities. Recipients—fourth-year Transplant Hepatology fellows or third-year GI/Hepatology dual certification program fellows at accredited institutions in the US, Canada, or Mexico—receive $4,000 for travel to The Liver Meeting® and one additional educational event (subject to committee approval). Awardees also gain enhanced career development through participation in AASLD committees or SIG Steering Committees.
Several named distinctions are available, including the Anna S. Lok Award, which provides an additional $26,000 in research support during the recipient's first faculty year at a North American academic institution.
