Description
CareQuest Institute for Oral Health’s Advancing Equity Through Oral Health Fund supports transformation toward an oral health system that is just, equitable, and accessible to all. It funds work to improve equitable access through federal or state oral health policy, develop innovative medical-dental integrated care models, and strengthen a diverse integrated health care workforce. Its application also includes community capacity and voice, care delivery, and research advancing oral health systems change.
Community leadership and trusted relationships are central to the fund. Proposals should be led by, or strongly informed through relationships with, communities historically affected by oral health inequities. CareQuest’s philanthropic priorities emphasize health and racial equity, partnerships that strengthen capacity and infrastructure, engagement with communities closest to the problems, and local, state, or federal policy and systems change.
