Description
Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, offers this opportunity through its Research Grants program, which encourages innovation in areas that will shape the future. It invites organic-synthesis projects that advance the synthesis of novel molecules or the design and development of analogue compound libraries, including libraries used to study structure–activity relationships.
Projects should use SYNTHIA® Retrosynthesis Software to improve synthetic planning and accelerate laboratory completion. SYNTHIA® generates synthetic pathways using expert-coded organic-synthesis rules, algorithms and a database of more than 12 million commercially available starting materials and building blocks. Awardees receive live training, interaction with Merck scientists and an opportunity for further collaboration.
