The program encourages projects that (1) develop measures or assessment strategies to capture the structure, context, processes, and outcomes of engagement, and/or (2) develop and test engagement methods to generate evidence on effective approaches, especially as adapted for different contexts and communities. All proposals must demonstrate meaningful contributions from patients and healthcare partners and align with PCORI’s Foundational Expectations for Partnerships in Research.
