Description
This opportunity from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) funds studies that build the evidence base for effective stakeholder engagement in patient-centered comparative effectiveness research (CER). The program seeks to address gaps in how engagement is defined, measured, and implemented by supporting research that develops and validates measures of engagement (structure, process, outcomes) and tests techniques to achieve meaningful stakeholder involvement across the research lifecycle. Projects are expected to use frameworks such as the Donabedian Structure/Context-Process-Outcomes model to identify predictors of successful engagement and inform best practices across diverse research settings. The ultimate goal is to improve the relevance, quality, and impact of CER through systematic study of engagement methods.
