Description
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society issues targeted Requests for Applications (RFAs) to address research gaps and high-priority directions identified through its Pathways to Cures Roadmap. Each RFA defines its research area, any exclusions, budget, and award duration. The Society expects applicants to bring their expertise to the objectives of the particular call.
For the planned 2026–2027 winter research funding cycle, the Society intends to seek research on early detection and diagnosis of MS instead of offering an investigator-initiated opportunity. Earlier targeted requests have covered aging, women’s health, depression self-management, remyelination and neuroprotection, functional recovery, viruses, and compartmentalized inflammation in MS.
