Description
This Horizon Europe Coordination and Support Action (CSA) supports a pan-European initiative to create, coordinate, and upscale networks and advisory support for countering and preventing radicalisation, extremism, hate speech, and polarisation. The grant aims to deepen theoretical and practical understanding of these phenomena, foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders (including policymakers, law enforcement, NGOs, researchers, and community groups), and translate research into effective, evidence-based policy and practice.
Projects should address the root causes of radicalisation and polarisation—including socio-economic factors—while promoting EU values such as democracy, human rights, and inclusion. The scope includes both online and offline contexts, with an emphasis on engaging civil society and end-users, integrating gender-sensitive and intersectional approaches, and leveraging existing EU-funded projects and knowledge hubs.
Expected outcomes include improved theoretical models, practical pathways for implementation, enhanced stakeholder engagement, actionable policy recommendations, and improved methodologies to address hate speech and polarisation, especially in digital environments.
