Description
UBC’s Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies offers Affiliated Fellowships for full-time study and research leading to a graduate degree. The master’s competition is open to current and prospective students across eligible research disciplines, regardless of citizenship. It includes unrestricted awards and awards tied to particular affiliations or research interests.
The program recognizes academic excellence and research potential. Supported programs must involve original, autonomous research culminating in a thesis, major research project, dissertation, scholarly publication, performance, recital or exhibit reviewed at the institutional level. Selection emphasizes the quality, originality, significance and feasibility of proposed research, its contribution to knowledge, and applicants’ critical thinking, initiative and autonomy. Leadership, collaboration and clear communication also contribute to assessment.
