Description
The Affordable Housing Trust Fund, overseen by the Nevada Housing Division, is a state-funded program designed to expand and improve affordable housing options across Nevada. Funding supports a wide range of activities, including new construction and rehabilitation of multifamily rental housing, down payment assistance and rehabilitation for homeowners, and emergency rental assistance (including security deposits and utility payments). The Trust Fund operates through formula-based allocations to participating jurisdictions and prioritizes projects that serve Nevada households with incomes at or below 60% of area median income (AMI). A portion of funds is reserved for emergency assistance to prevent homelessness among families in crisis.
