Key Information: Applications accepted and reviewed quarterly until funds are exhausted.
This program provides funding to help overcome barriers to solar and energy storage installations serving low-to-moderate income (LMI) households, particularly those in multifamily affordable housing, rental units, or other underserved settings not reached by traditional onsite residential solar. The funding supports predevelopment and technical assistance activities—such as project planning, site assessments, business model development, financing, and community outreach—necessary to implement solar and/or storage projects that deliver meaningful benefits to LMI customers and affordable housing providers. The goal is to facilitate the groundwork for equitable access to clean energy and resiliency for disadvantaged communities across New York State.
