Description
The American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education (AFPE) Pre-Doctoral Research Fellowship supports high-performing doctoral students with the potential to become outstanding pharmaceutical scientists. Its primary goal is to improve patient and public health while developing future leaders in pharmaceutical industry, academia, government, and nonprofit sectors.
The fellowship supports research and progress toward the Ph.D., including student stipends, laboratory supplies, books, materials, and travel. AFPE seeks compelling, novel, relevant, and feasible research proposals that advance science and ultimately improve health. Selection considers research plans and experience, academic performance, leadership, and character, alongside scientific knowledge, laboratory skills, ethical conduct, collaboration, and communication.
