    Description

This Horizon Europe Coordination and Support Action aims to enhance collaboration between African Union (AU) and European Union (EU) member states in food and nutrition security and sustainable agriculture (FNSSA). The funded project will strengthen the AU-EU FNSSA Working Group by developing strategic tools, providing scientific and administrative support, and improving joint activities. It will operationalise the International Research Consortium as a platform for implementing the FNSSA roadmap, promote multi-stakeholder learning, and support the scaling up of innovations from prior EU-AU projects. The action also provides a platform for funders and offers seed funding to innovative start-ups and SMEs, with a focus on mentoring, business acceleration, and the inclusion of women, young entrepreneurs, and diaspora communities. Collaboration with the European Commission’s Knowledge Centre on Global Food and Nutrition Security is encouraged.
