The AGA Research Foundation offers this travel award to support graduate students, medical students, residents, clinical fellows and postdoctoral fellows presenting research on health or health care disparities associated with digestive diseases or disorders. The award supports abstract-based oral or poster presentations at Digestive Disease Week (DDW).
The program aims to stimulate interest in gastroenterology and hepatology research that improves access and care for underserved patients, helping narrow disparities. It also encourages digestive disease research careers by recognizing trainees with exceptional abstracts accepted for DDW. Members of the AGA Institute Research Awards Panel select recipients based on research significance, abstract clarity and the applicant’s contribution.
