Description
The Academy of General Dentistry Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Academy of General Dentistry, funds programs that bring oral and oropharyngeal cancer awareness, education, and screening to the public outside standard dental practice. Its grant program supports AGD constituents and nonprofit community-based outreach programs in the United States and Canada, particularly efforts serving people who lack access to oral health care because of geographic or economic hardship.
The Foundation emphasizes free oral cancer screenings and education, oral cancer risk-factor prevention, and diagnostic training for general dentists.
