Description
The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) offers Agri-Business Grants as part of its Transportation Economic Development Grants program. The grants help local governments construct or reconstruct roads and streets that provide primary access to new or expanding agricultural production or service businesses. Such businesses may include elevators, feedlots and processing facilities whose development or expansion increases the need for road access.
The program aims to foster economic development and improve community access across South Dakota. SDDOT’s Office of Local Government Assistance reviews applications with the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, and the South Dakota Transportation Commission makes final award decisions.
