Description
The American Chemical Society’s Ahmed Zewail Award in Ultrafast Science and Technology recognizes outstanding and creative contributions to fundamental discoveries or inventions in physics, chemistry, biology, and related fields. It honors nominees whose original and insightful research has significantly influenced ultrafast science and technology, emphasizing the importance, innovation, and excellence of their work.
The award is part of the ACS National Awards program and recognizes scientific achievement rather than supporting a proposed research project. Established in 2005, it is supported by the Ahmed Zewail Endowment Fund established by the Newport Corporation.
