Description
The AHNS Endocrine Surgery Section ThyCa award supports research that advances the mission of the American Head and Neck Society’s Endocrine Section. Offered through the Centralized Otolaryngology Research Efforts (CORE) grants process, it funds basic, translational, or clinical projects specifically related to thyroid cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, outcomes, or pathophysiology.
Projects must yield useful information within the award period. Priority goes to innovative work with potential to develop into long-range or expanded research programs capable of attracting other funding. Proposals introducing knowledge or methods from other disciplines, or involving collaborators from related disciplines, are encouraged. The program favors early-stage investigators and experienced researchers pursuing a new line of inquiry requiring pilot data.
