Description
The Institute for Humane Studies (IHS) invites academic scholars to investigate the long-term effects of artificial intelligence on employment, productivity, occupational change, economic opportunity, and innovation. The opportunity responds to a need for more research and data amid debate about AI’s effects on work. IHS is especially interested in proposals that bridge disciplines.
Supported work may produce peer-reviewed publications, policy white papers, or shareable research databases. Funding can support research travel and collaboration, access to datasets and specialized research sources, and preparation and dissemination of research. Awarded scholars retain independence over their research design, analysis, conclusions, and publication.
